Advice For Aesthetic Treatments

As you approach your appointment at Sorella, these steps will guarantee a smooth and hassle-free experience.

At our aesthetic skin clinic in Kent, the hydrafacial is one of our favourite treatments.

The Run Up To Your Appointment

  • Avoid Blood Thinning Substances - In the week leading up to your appointment, steer clear of substances like aspirin, ibuprofen and anything else that can thin the blood.

  • Stay Hydrated - Hydration is the foundation of healthy skin. Ensure you are well-hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment.

  • Stop Taking Herbal Supplements - Avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John’s Wort and omega-3 capsules.

  • Prepare For Bruising - Bruising is normal following an aesthetic procedure. However, you can minimise its extent by taking arnica tablets 48 hours prior to your appointment.

The Day Of Your Appointment

  • Arrive Relaxed - We want your experience to be both enjoyable and stress-free. Arrive a few minutes early so that you can settle in and embrace your upcoming rejuvenation.

  • Arrive Makeup Free - Come to your appointment with a clean face, free of make up. This ensures that Danni and Georgi have a clear canvas to work with.

Advice For Skincare Treatments

Before you give your skin the care it deserves, here are some guidelines you should follow.

The Run Up To Your Appointment

  • Stop Topical Retinoids - Up to 48 hours before your skincare treatment, it’s important to halt the use of retinol. Similarly, you should stick to a gentle skincare routine to keep your skin in optimal condition.

  • Sun Protection - Prevent sun damage by applying adequate suncream. This will help your skin maintain its health for the transformative journey ahead.

  • Avoid Waxing - If your treatment involves an area that you would usually wax, opt for alternative hair removal methods like shaving.

  • Ask Questions - Feel free to ask any last-minute questions or discuss your concerns before the treatment begins. After all, we’re here for you.

The Day Of Your Appointment

  • Cleanse & Moisturise - Start your day with a gentle cleanse and moisturise your skin. This will ensure that your skin is prepped for treatment.

  • Discuss Your Concerns - Whether you have last-minute questions or want to address any concerns, make sure you talk to us before your treatment begins.

Depending on the treatment, we may recommend waiting a specific period before applying makeup. However, we’ll guide you on this throughout your post-treatment care.
