What Causes Acne?
Acne is a common inflammatory skin disease. Though its causes have long been disputed, it isn't a result of dirt, poor skincare, 'bad' diet, the use of makeup or stress.
Acne actually occurs when pores inside the skin become blocked with sebum. This sebum becomes trapped, oxidises and is infiltrated by bacteria called Cutibacterium. As a result, the skin becomes inflamed and breaks out in pimples.
